MEET THE TEAM AT The Dental Centre Tenterden
Our principal dentist, Ambrose Ebhohimen, is a dedicated professional, and adheres strictly to the guiding principles of the General Dental Council (GDC), as enshrined in the ‘Standards for Dental Professionals’.
Ambrose took over ownership of the The Dental Centre Tenterden in March 2024.
DR. AMBROSE EBHOHIMEN
Principal Dentist
Ambrose qualified as a dentist in 1997, and has vast experience of working as a General Dental Practitioner (GDP). Ambrose has a research degree (Mphil) in child dental health from the University of Sheffield. Ambrose is a certified invisalign and Fastbraces provider. Ambrose in his continued quest for knowledge and excellence studied for an MSc programme in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham between 2020 and 2022.

Dr Kevan Baker B.D.S
Dr Kevan Baker established The Dental Centre in 1999 and was Principal Dentist until standing down to become an associate in 2024. He qualified from Guys Hospital, London in 1989 and has been practicing dentistry in the town ever since. He enjoys seeing the world and cycling with his three grown up children.
Dr Jonathan Aung B.D.S.
Dr Jonathan Aung obtained his bachelor in oral biology in 1993 and qualified in dentistry in 1995 from Guys Hospital, London. Since qualifying, Jonathan has worked at practices around South East Kent before becoming an associate at The Dental Centre in 2004. In addition to dentistry, Jonathan’s passions are rugby, his family and travel.
Sharon Theobald, Practice Manager
Sharon has been working with Dr Kevan Baker for 25 years and became practice manager at The Dental Centre in 1999. Sharon is a passionate buddhist and mother of two fabulous children and Nanna to three grandchildren.
Sue Barrett R.D.H. (N.U.I.), Hygienist
Sue is a very conscientious hygienist who qualified from the National University of Ireland (University College Cork) in 2009. She has worked at The Dental Centre since 2011. She enjoys visiting family in Thailand and looking after her niece and nephew.
Clare Sermon E.D.H (Lond.), Hygienist
Clare is a very caring hygienist who has been a member of The Dental Centre team since 2006. She qualified from Guys Hospital, London in 2005. Up until recently Clare was a squadron leader for the RAF cadets and enjoys playing musical instruments and raising her two children.
Felicity Bournes, Dental Nurse
Felicity is a part time dental nurse who qualified in 1992 and joined The Dental Centre team in 2002. She enjoys skiing, playing netball and spending time with her family. She also runs a holiday let business.
Sophie West, Dental Nurse
Sophie joined the team in 2012 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2013. She enjoys knitting, crochet and walking her Labrador.
Bryony Rose, Dental Nurse
Bryony joined the practice in 2019 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2021. She enjoys walking her miniature dachshund and spending time with her nieces and nephew.
Yvonne Fryers, Receptionist
Vonnie joined the team May 2017 having worked for many years in the NHS. In her spare time she enjoys Formula 1 racing, gardening, yoga, and reading.
